What are the difference between research methods and research methodology?

What are the difference between research methods and research methodology?
Research method is the source of your research. While Research Methodology is literature review.

For e.g:

You're doing some research regarding 'bout "building renovation"

You need the source of the research. For literature review, you need to find the terms and meaning of building renovation, the history and the details of which part of building you want to make research.

So, that's the difference between Methodology and methods research
Reply:One is the physical tools you use. The other are the evaluative tools you use.

If you use a thermometer to measure your results, that is your research methods. If you compare the average temperature between two groups, that is your research methodology.
Reply:"research methods" means the ways to start a research;

"research methodology" means the theory of ways of research.
