What research methods do historians use?
Historians have to probably conduct interviews with those closely associated with events in history, collect and study artifacts, read scholarly materials such as periodicals, journals, etc...
There is no real truth, except the truth as it happens.
Reply:primary that read/study analyze records - considered first person sources or primary sources.
For instance , someone who saw and heard Lincoln give the Gettysburg address would be a first person source. as would Lincoln.
