Distinguish between Experimental and non-experimental methods in psychological research, and give some esample

Experimental methods require a manipulation of a variable to see what happens on another variable that we are interested in.





For example we might want to see if priming people with words associated with the elderly would cause them to walk slower (an experiment done by one of my lecturers :)).





Non-experimental methods dont have this manipulation.





For example direct observation of people in a certain situation.
