Is there a group on the internet where cancer researches and doctors talk about there research?

Is there a group or web site where cancer researches and doctors discuss there cancer research.Compare ideas and theories about treating cancer and discussing methods of treating cancer

Is there a group on the internet where cancer researches and doctors talk about there research?
i'm afraid not (unfortunately), because the researchers need to publish their results and theories to get recognized, so they may not want to share insight before the publication. It's a shame especially in this country (USA).

Reply:The way to "share" research is to write up your stuff and send it in to various journals in the hope that you get published.

Or if you actually want to get into treating patients, contact a practice site and talk to them. Where are you from? Are you a practicing physician or a member of a medical team specializing in cancer? Are you focused on a specific type of cancer? Do research on the internet and find the other professionals who treat the same type of cancer and contact them. If you've got something worthwhile that makes new in roads, they would probably want to listen to you.
Reply:Yes, there are online groups. . but they are almost always password restricted and invitation only and meant for academics or those involved in serious cancer research.
Reply:You could always start a Yahoo Group for cancer researchers.

Don't expect too many actual researchers to show up there.

Their research is peer-reviewed and published in medical journals. They kick ideas off each other at the many annual conventions for oncology and related fields.
Reply:This is a large group.
